Welcome to My New Travel Blog

Courtney Who?

In case you don’t really know who I am because you were bored on social media and happened to find this link, or someone even more bored and were typing random searches into google until you found this link, here’s a quick summery of who I am, why you should listen to me, and why you shouldn’t.

Courtney Who? Well am I Courtney the American? My upbringing would suggest so having both of my parents active duty in the military the majority of my life. Courtney the traveler? To the kid in Louisiana that never traveled more than a 50 mile radius, I suppose I am. To the archeologist I meet in the airport who is causally spending her summer in Europe, maybe not so much. Courtney the Christian? Absolutely in every way I can possibly be.

In this blog I am going to be unapologetically Christian, and I hope that whatever your experiences with Christians does not deter you from what I have to say. Perhaps through reading my blog you can see Christianity in a different light. In a light of mercy, grace, adventure, and fun!

I’m going to keep my bio brief as my personal story will leak out into the stories of my adventure here in Egypt. In this blog I’m going to be super vulnerable and tell you all the embarrassing cultural experiences I’ve been through, how I’ve handled them well and how I haven’t. In sharing my experiences and advice to future travelers, understand that I’m no culture pro. It is completely possible for me to give bad advice as it might wrongly translate to your experiences and travels. However, you might just learn a thing or two to keep you out of trouble in your next cultural experience, even if that isn’t an oversea cross culture.

Even if you are the kid from Louisiana that has never traveled outside a 50 mile radius and never wants to, I hope you enjoy my stories and painfully awkward experiences!
